“Thrakis Mavra” fig comes from the Rodopi mountain range in the far North of Greece, an area that experiences temperature down to -20C or lower! Yet this fig variety grows and fruits great there along with “Thrakis Aspra”! The figs of this variety are large, dense and very sweet while their peel is edible.

“Thrakis Mavra” translates as black fig from Thraki, which is the region where most of Rodopi mountain range is located at.
